Are you a consignment store?
We carry both new and consignment items at Freckles Children’s Boutique.
How does consignment work?
Bring your clean (and ironed) items to the store. When you do, you will sign a consignor agreement that states our terms, payments, and commitment then you are free to go. Freckles will then go through and inventory and price your items. We will contact you when the process is complete (in a day or two at most), and provide you with a listing of all accepted items and their prices. The items that are not accepted will be returned to you, disposed of or donated to charity (Your call!).
What kinds of things do you take on consignment?
We only take new and gently used, named brand items for consignment. Some of our typical brands include Baby Gap, Carter’s, Fischer-Price, etc. Target is the only ‘chain brand’ that we will accept. We also take items such as bedding, furniture, baby gear (walkers, cribs, strollers, etc.), and limited toys.
What is the percentage, how much will I make?
Freckles keeps 60% of the sales price. You get 40%.
How do I need to bring it in?
The items need to be clean, stain free, and clothing needs to be pressed. With baby gear, it needs to be assembled, and have all of the parts required for operation. We provide hangars.
How does freckles price items?
We typically price the items somewhere between 40%-60% of the original retail price – depending on quality and demand.
How & When will I get paid?
You can either receive store credit for your sold items, or a check. Checks are printed on the 3rd business day of each month.
What happens if it doesn’t sell?
After 90 days, you can pick it up, or we can donate it to charity.
